Medical Discovery Partners LLC focuses on the development of innovative medical diagnostics technologies. The company specializes in bringing medical diagnostic research concepts to reality, by conducting its own research and then developing the manufacturing methods for transition to commercial production. Once a product is in production, we work with corporate partners for transferring the technology to commercial production. Our initial products and technologies in development relate to improved methods for cancer diagnosis and early cancer detection. The company is located alongside the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine. As a company located in an academic medical center, we bridge the strengths of academia and industry. MDP brings a technology and product-focused team approach into a medical center academic research environment. Medical Discovery Partners LLC scientists also participate part-time in the academic enterprise, with corresponding academic appointments, teaching, and consulting clinical laboratory responsibilities. The company was founded in late 2002, as an outgrowth of the research group from CytoLogix Corporation, Cambridge, MA. The President and co-founder of Medical Discovery Partners LLC was also a founder of CytoLogix. In 2002, CytoLogix sold most of its assets to DakoCytomation. The group formed a new company - - Medical Discovery Partners LLC - - that focuses on technology creation in the area of medical diagnostics. |
